These works play with my on-going fascination with the Japanese philosophy of ‘no-thing’ or ‘Mu’ - not so much a blank void but a wellspring of potentiality from which existence and creativity arise (a core idea in Nishida Kitarō's philosophy from the Kyoto School).
Complex greys, suggestions of glints and inferences of mist and silt.
