Rarely setting out to make paintings of ‘things’, at times the work hints at landscapes, seascapes, or elements of these and within these. In this series of oil sketches there seem to be waterfalls floating in a sea of nothing or not much, more like essence of waterfalls. I suppose, we too think we are something defined but then we surprise ourselves to find we are not so definable after all and that there may be more to be revealed.

Falling water. Falling light. Falling rock.

A dance of substance and gravity, flying and yet not landing - yet. Pale pinks glow. Dark gravity of rock. Earth and feather.
