I rarely make paintings of things - my work is rarely ‘figurative’ in that way, rather at times, my work hints at landscapes, seascape, or elements of these and within these. In this series there are emerging waterfalls floating in a sea of nothing or not much. The waterfalls themselves are not so much forms but experiences, of water. And like us, we think we are something defined but then we surprise ourselves to find we are indefinable after all and have more potential within us. Falling water. Falling light. Falling rock.

These are a dance of substance and gravity, flying and yet not landing - yet. Pale pinks glow. Dark gravity of rock. Earth and feather.
